How to sponsor an adoption fee:

1. Browse our available pets at onetail.org/available-pets.
– Make note of your choice’s name and age.
– You can confirm if an adoption fee is already sponsored by checking the “Sponsored Adoption Fee” under the “Sort” filter at the top of the available pets page.
2. Click the button below to donate for the “ticket” of your species and age selection and enter the pet’s name when prompted.
Please note: If the pet you’ve selected already has a sponsored adoption fee or gets adopted before we can apply the sponsorship, One Tail at a Time will allocate the sponsorship to another pet’s adoption fee, usually a long-term foster. We will notify you of our selection if this happens.
3. Keep an eye on your sponsored pet’s profile on our site or check out our Adoptions photo album on Facebook to see if they’ve been adopted!

Dog Adoption Fees

One Adult Dog (7 months – 6 years) is $300
One Senior Dog (7 years or older) is $150
One Puppy (6 months or younger) is $350

Cat Adoption Fees

One Adult Cat (7 months or older) is $100
Bonded Adult Cats (7 months or older) are $150
One Kitten (6 months or younger) is $150
Bonded Kittens (6 months or younger) are $250

Critter Adoption Fees

Rabbits are $50 each
Guinea pigs are $25 each

Help One Tail in their mission to make pet companionship accessible by sponsoring a waived fee adoption event! You can sponsor an entire day of waived fees, a whole weekend, or even more. We typically suggest $2,500 to cover adoption fees for a single day and $5,000 to cover fees for a weekend. If you would like to sponsor a full week (or longer!) of waived adoption fees or have any questions, please email [email protected]!

You can make your donation below by selecting one “Bulk Fee Sponsorship” ticket for one day’s sponsorship or 2 tickets for a whole weekend, and so on. If you want to sponsor 5 adult cats or something similar, you can select the desired number of those “tickets” instead.

I would like to sponsor an adoption fee in memory or honor of a loved one (pet or person). How can I dedicate my donation?

Amazing, thank you so much for entrusting us with your gift in your loved one’s memory or honor. Once you decide which pet(s) you’d like to sponsor, select the appropriate “ticket” and then click “Donation Options” > “Dedicate this Donation” to enter the dedication details (screenshot here). If you have trouble, forget to include your dedication, or would like a physical card mailed to your honoree, please email [email protected]!

I just want to sponsor any senior cat, tripod dog, fluffy bunny, etc. or I want my sponsorship to be as impactful as possible by going to a pet who needs the bump.

Great! Simply select the appropriate “ticket” and enter your preferred “type” of pet to sponsor in the box (after you select the ticket). If you want to chat with someone more about which pet to sponsor, write that in the box and we’ll reach out to you to work it out!
